Virtual counseling

I provide individual, virtual counseling sessions that are 55 minutes in length. I work best with women who’ve spent most of their lives taking care of everyone else and are now thinking, “Wait… what about me?” If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And if you’re wondering, it’s not selfish to want something more for yourself.

My clients are often women 25-50 who are navigating what I call the “identity development meets emotional exhaustion” phase of life. They're high-achieving, high-functioning, and often experiencing high levels of anxiety. Many have perfectionist tendencies, people-pleasing habits, and a deep sense that something’s missing—but they’ve been too busy taking care of everyone else to figure out what.

I work especially well with those untangling the effects of developmental trauma like emotional neglect or parentification—the kind of stuff that doesn’t always look like “trauma,” but quietly shapes everything. I use EMDR and other evidence-based approaches to help you get unstuck and start living in a way that actually works for you.

Therapy with me is equal parts relational, gently challenging, and compassionate. I believe healing doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. Sometimes it looks like unlearning old roles, redefining your identity, and finally asking yourself what you want—without apologizing for the answer.

If you're ready to stop being the emotional concierge for everyone in your life and start figuring out who you are, I’d be honored to walk with you.

clinical Supervision

I provide clinical supervision for LPC Associates in the state of Texas.  I grew up in the Napa Valley, and to me, excellent supervision feels like the difference between growing some grapes in your backyard, and the meticulous cultivation of grapes that are meant to be turned into fine wine.

The backyard grapes take some amount of attentiveness and knowledge to grow and maintain.  You’ll have to check the pH of the soil, you’ll have to prune them, and you’ll have to make sure they get just the right amount of water so they don’t shrivel and become raisins on the vine.  This is all important, technical work, but in the end it yields, simply, a grape.  However, a grape that is meant to be turned into fine wine is coaxed through its lifetime with great attention, care, and even affection.  Some grapes are planted on the rocky mountainside in order to cultivate heartiness and minerality, while some are planted on the valley floor to endure heat and grow plump with sugar.  The irrigation is so specific that it’s run by a computer, and there are people in the vineyards every day monitoring the grapes to ensure a particular outcome.

As a supervisor, I am called to do something similar.  My goal is to go beyond technical proficiency and to help you find your voice and your presence as a therapist. I will challenge your biases, and require you to endure uncomfortable feelings just like you will ask their clients to do.  I will encourage you to seek community, and to avoid siloing yourself in a way that will be a detriment to your learning, and to your clients’ experience.  My aim is to confidently send you out into the world knowing that you will have an overall positive impact.
