Frequently asked questions.
how much does therapy at revival cost?
Out of pocket sessions are $175. Currently, Revival is accepting new clients using Aetna, Cigna, and United Insurance as well. If you don’t have insurance, some insurance companies will reimburse some percentage of the money you spend on therapy; however, we cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for our services. If you would like to consider this option, please call your insurance company to ask them how it works and any requirements they have for services to be eligible to be reimbursed, such as diagnosis.
How do i pay?
For out of pocket services, payment is due via credit or debit card at the time of session. HSA cards are also accepted as long as they function like a debit card. For clients using insurance, Revival utilizes two third-party platforms to accept insurance (Headway and Alma). At the end of your session, the therapist will submit a claim for the session to one of these platforms, and they will send the client a bill for the co-pay.
do you provide therapy for minors/children/teens?
Currently, Revival Therapy only provides counseling services for adults.
what can i expect from the first session?
In the first session, we will begin by reviewing the paperwork that you signed, including things like your client contract and the confidentiality agreement During this session, we will ask you questions to gain a better understanding of your work life, romantic life, identity, social history, medical history, etc. This assessment may last as long as the first three sessions depending on how much information there is to gather.
What if I don’t like my counselor?
Don’t panic, this happens! The first thing to do is to give the counseling process a fair shot. Sometimes, simply having someone ask us about our personal lives and our trauma can feel really uncomfortable, but this is a normal part of therapy. That said, not every therapist is a fit for every client, so if after a few sessions you feel like your counselor is not a good fit, you are welcome to terminate services and ask for referrals. Just let your counselor know in session, or send an email with the request.
